A Journey To New Heights
Casting the spotlight on six long-service Team Members who have helped shape Marina Bay Sands to what it is today.
Running one of the world’s most iconic integrated resorts (IR) like a well-oiled machine 24/7 is no easy task, especially when it encompasses the world’s most Instagrammed hotel, world-class meeting venues, and the Republic’s most attractive shopping, dining and leisure offerings.
The biggest driving force behind this business of happiness is none other than Marina Bay Sands’ over 10,000-strong workforce. People – the IR’s most valued asset – come from all walks of life and backgrounds, each spending an average of 6.4 years with the company. Entrenched in the IR’s human capital strategy is a deep-rooted commitment to build good careers and develop professionals to thrive in the long haul. Training alone has chalked up nearly 4 million hours since the IR opened in 2010.
2020 marks a key milestone for Marina Bay Sands, as it does for many of its Team Members – the major building blocks behind the IR’s success. In fact, some 25 per cent of its workforce have been with the company for 10 years, or even longer. Here, we cast the spotlight on the IR’s Pioneer Generation, who has helped shape Marina Bay Sands to what it is today.
