Why pursue a postgraduate degree?

Today’s job market is highly competitive and a postgraduate degree can be a valuable passport to better career prospects. Holding a postgraduate degree also shows employers that the person is open to new ideas and is truly passionate about the field, and this may pave the way for higher responsibility and a higher salary grade.

What should I look for in choosing a programme?

It’s always good to seek out schools that have a strong track record, but that doesn’t mean you have to be blinkered to tradition alone. Focus instead on inter-disciplinary programmes that cover areas like innovation and entrepreneurship, or in emerging areas like data science and financial technology. Students in these types of programmes will be exposed to exciting innovations at the interstices of cutting-edge disciplines and be well sought-after.

How do theory and practice go hand in hand?
