Having a tiny floor plan doesn't mean you can't live large. To open up spaces, interior stylist Priscilla Tan (@styledbypt) recommends sticking to smooth and even wall finishes; going for a larger-than-life effect with contrasting colours and textures — think dark walls and light furniture or vice versa — and opting for big floor tiles measuring 60cm x 120cm or even 90cm x 90cm.
"Always measure the space before buying furniture or fittings. It's not rocket science, but some still fail to do so," she adds. "And for inspiration, check out Pinterest or Instagram for small space hashtags on how to dress up corners."
